SNES Mini THS7374 RGB and Marqs Dejitter Modded Super Nintendo Jr. 1CHIP

  
This listing is for a Super Nintendo Mini with RGB, S-Video. This console has several modifications installed. Details of the modifications are below. This console has a customized version of Borti4938's THS7374 RGB w/Csync and S-Video bypass board installed. This offers RGB and S-Video output from the AV Multi out port.

The bypass board virtually eliminates the vertical bar issue that most SNES's experience on dark scenes (see the example image of the notorious Final Fantasy III title screen, captured from one of my modded consoles). The mod is set up for NTSC Csync RGB cables and uses TTL Csync signal, so make sure that your cables have a resistor on the sync line. The RGB Bypass mod in this console also has Marqs85's Dejitter mod board integrated in the design. This mod fixes an issue with the SNES's out of spec sync signal which causes issues with some displays and capture cards, especially when used with a device like the Open Source Scan Converter. In my testing this dejitter board has enabled me to use line3x, line4x and line5x modes on the OSSC with displays that previously could not sync with anything higher than line2x.

This console implements a new installation method that allows not only C-Sync signal but also Luma Sync and Composite video to be dejittered, which means that all RGB cables will benefit from this mod not just C-Sync cables. This console has also had the R3 resistor replaced with a 1.69k resistor to correct brightness levels from the 1chip video output. It also has the C11 capacitor replaced with a 470nf capacitor to fix the ghosting issues that all 1Chip Snes models suffer from on bright scenes. Region lock tabs in the cartridge slot have been removed so this can play USA and Japanese games. This does not play PAL region games.
