In the instance of posters, no tears or creases. Just very small scratches or what-have-you. Noticeable, but not really impacting the beauty of the item too much. Very Good: Noticeable (as opposed to barely noticeable) but small defects. None major, but more prominent than those in Excellent or Near Mint. Good: It has some tears, creases, fading, or cracks, but they do not ruin the aesthetic of the album or poster, etc. Average: Some tears, creases, fading, cracks.

Below Average: It's been battered over the years. It has some serious defects. Large cracks, large tears, large creases, that affect over half of the image or case, etc. Major scratches on the CD.
